.:The Romantic Underground:.
www.romanticunderground.org
Inspiration. Integrity. In harmony.
The Romantic Underground is a brand new website, community, and magazine for writers and artists of all sorts. It is founded on three very simple principles:
* Creativity – We believe that these days, writers and artists are criticised for being creative, descriptive and evocative instead of following the stark, commercial ideals of the modern world. We hope that by founding the Romantic Underground, we can do something to redress the balance, proving that you don't have to be postmodern to be artistic.
* Community – All too often, writers and artists find themselves in competition with one another. We don't think that this is the way it should be, and have sought to create a community that both fosters a sense of support and society, and the creation of experimental, collaborative pieces.
* Excellence – Finally, we seek to better our work, and ourselves as artists, and have done our best to create an atmosphere where people are encouraged – and not bullied – into achieving the very highest standards that they can for themselves.
On the back of these three simple points, we have founded a website that boasts an immersing message board that seeks to foster a supportive, encouraging, creative and collaborative atmosphere for writers, poets, musicians, performers and artists of all sorts. We have also developed The Abbey, a quarterly ezine and annual print magazine, showcasing the very best work that the community and the wider artistic community has to offer. The ezine is delivered by email to our list of subscribers, and made available free of charge to read online, while the print magazine will be made available for a small fee that will cover the costs of printing, and supports a fund for the development of projects promoting the arts in both the online and offline communities.
Currently, the Romantic Underground is accepting submissions for the first issue of The Abbey which is titled Walpurgis and due out, as the name would suggest, on the 1st May 2008.
To submit your work to the Romantic Underground, subscribe to The Abbey, or to join our growing online community, please visit us at www.romanticunderground.org, we'd love to see you there!

Taking a Few Things Down
In an attempt to keep as much of my writing as I can in one place, I've taken a lot of my poetry and prose down from here and in the near future the rest of it will probably be disappearing as well.
For anyone that's interested, all my writing is now kept over here: http://www.writing.com/authors/shatteredroses
S'all for now folks.
Kinda Leaving
I really don't have time to keep up a DeviantArt gallery at the moment. I'm really really busy running the official Everlasting online roleplaying game over at New London and I just don't have the time to commit to DA at the moment.
Maybe I will in the future, I have a few things I can put up here, I just need to wait until I have the time to do it.
Those of you that are interested in my writing, a lot of it now goes up over on my My EliteSkills Page which is a much better site for writing than DA because it's simply for writers.
I'll still check in on the galleries of my bestest friends like Nalxte (https://www.deviantart.com/nalxte) and undercoverblacksheep (https://www.deviantart.com/undercoverblacksheep) although I ca
Finally Back
Hey guys,
BT have finally managed to hook my internet back up today, so I'm back online for good, barring any utter disasters.
I have lot's of stuff to catch up on, and lots of things to post. I've made a start with One Long Year Passed. I don't have time to do anything else just yet, but maybe a little later I will.
I'm still going to be busy for a while, I have an online roleplaying game to do all the databasing and setting info for, you don't need to know the system too well to play and it's a great game, so if you fancy a look, go over here: http://www.visionaryentertainment.com/wforum/index.php?c=4&sid=7a5f6fd00346f5da389e30573f681a
Quicky
I'm not at work this week and going into hospital tomorrow so I'm probably not going to be around for a couple of days.
Just so you all know not to worry. :)
